Location

“Who Will Own the Forest?” will be held at the World Forestry Center campus in Miller and Cheatham Halls. The World Forestry Center is a non-profit educational institution located in Portland, Oregon. We operate an international institute, conference facilities, Forest Discovery Center Museum, and gift shop in Washington Park. We are located adjacent to the Oregon Zoo and 175-acre Hoyt Arboretum.

Transportation

By Car:
By car from the city center, take Highway 26 West. The first exit (just one mile beyond the tunnel) is marked Forestry Center, Zoo. Take this exit, stay left as you enter the parking area and we are near the top of lot. Parking is plentiful.

By Light Rail:
Both the city center and World Forestry Center campus are also easily accessible via the MAX urban light rail. MAX lines and stops can be found on the maps located at the end of this document. Light rail lines leave every five to fifteen minutes and cost $1.95.

From the city center to the World Forestry Center: board Tri-Met's Blue Line or Red Line MAX heading WEST. A westbound train leaves every five to ten minutes. Exit at the Washington Park station, take the elevator up, and you will be directly in front of our campus.

From the Airport to the city center: board Tri-Met’s Red Line from the Portland International Airport to the city center. This train leaves every 15 minutes.
